A community partnership with municipalities created to provide a link between first responders & the special needs community.
Through a combination of trainings, workshops, and resources, our program aims to increase awareness and understanding of autism and other developmental disabilities among first responders. We provide information on how to effectively communicate with individuals who may have difficulty understanding and responding to traditional emergency protocols.
LINKED- Autism Safety Project is committed to building strong partnerships between the first responder and special needs communities, ensuring that everyone has access to the support and resources they need to stay safe in emergency situations.
Our project offers specialized resources for those with differing abilities and their families on emergency preparedness, communication strategies, and how to interact with first responders in emergency situations. Our goal is to empower individuals and their families to feel confident and prepared in times of crisis.
In addition to our training programs, we provide resources such as sensory kits, communication tools, and social stories to help individuals with autism navigate emergency situations more effectively. We strive to create a more inclusive and supportive community where individuals of all abilities feel safe and supported during emergencies.
